As approved by the Ministry of Higher Education, ACEM is in collaboration with The Faculty of Medicine UniSHAMS is offering this specialized program called the Certificate in Exercise Medicine. Endorsed by the Ministry of Health, Exercise Medicine is the first line of treatment/intervention for NCD patients.
It is a systematically designed field of treatment which refers to the measures taken to intervene and treat diseases. A pilot test was successfully conducted to identify the adaptation of exercise which can be used to treat Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs).
Upon completion of the program participants are qualified to receive referrals from medical doctors to treat NCDs patients.

ACEM
We are now officially known as Asia College of Exercise Medicine. This college marks the only one in the country. Our two years of pilot studies with the Ministry of Health, exercise is now a prescription as a new form of treatment to patients suffering from diabetes, hypertension, obesity and heart diseases.
We are confident that we will be able to produce competent Exercise Therapists (ET) to be part of a new frontier in the treatment industry and save more lives. ACEM will continue through more research with our corporate collaborations and commercialize our research into the industry. We have today successfully commercialized world-class treadmills, bicycles and the Dyna hand grip that measures various parameters to prescribe the right dosage for our patients.

THE NEW DISCIPLINES IN EXERCISE MEDICINE.
The college has initiated the geriatric program. We have set up the first active ageing center in Pengerang, Johor in collaboration with the Rakan Aktif Parlimen Pengerang led by Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said (Member of Parliament) in her concern of Malaysia turning into an aged nation by 2030. We have also started a rehab program through exercise movement and was officially launched by the Deputy Minister of Sports Dato' Sri Ti Lian Ker.

PROGRAM
FitSchool is a school adoption program focused on the health and sports performances of every students. Initiated by Asia College of Exercise Medicine, each adopted school shall receive a complete set of state of art testing and assessment apparatus and software as well as training equipment to enhance sports performances. Every staff will go through a comprehensive health and physical assessment. This program is to encourage more students to be physically active to combat Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) which is the number one killer of mankind. Physical inactivity is the 4th leading cause of the high death rates by NCDs.
